2021 saw the rise of the slot race, everywhere you looked a new slot race event was popping up.  This was great for the barrel racing industry, as it meant there were exciting new events for competitors to attend and opportunities for some great payouts.  Something was missing though, and we realized we wanted to create something that showcased those top horses and riders.  After a great conversation with Jodie Griffin, the idea was born. Let's create a true slot race in Saskatchewan, with a an entry fee that generates a lucrative payout and an opportunity to truly showcase some of the best horse power and riders in the prairies.  The next step was to ensure the odds are in the slot owners favour. With only 30 slots being sold, the opportunity to turn a profit is increased,  you are no longer competing in against a field of 100-200 competitors, it is simply you versus 29 for the top five holes.  

With the idea for the slot race decided upon, we wanted to ensure this was still a weekend for everyone by including two added money 4D open jackpots.  The goal is to continue to grow this event to add a Futurity and Derby in the coming years and continue to grow the barrel racing industry in Saskatchewan.
